Privacy

Byte Singularity uses privacy-focused analytics on the public website to understand aggregate traffic, popular pages, and how people find the site.

Analytics

The public website uses self-hosted GoatCounter analytics operated by Byte Singularity.

GoatCounter stores aggregate analytics such as page views, referrers, browser and system summaries, language, screen width, and approximate location. It does not store visitor IP addresses, full user-agent strings, tracker IDs, cookies, localStorage identifiers, or cache identifiers for public analytics tracking.

GoatCounter keeps a temporary in-memory session mapping for repeat-visit counting for up to eight hours. The public website does not enable GoatCounter's individual pageview collection.

Cookies

The public Byte Singularity website does not use analytics cookies.

The GoatCounter admin interface may use login and short-lived message cookies when an authorized operator signs in to analytics.bytesingularity.com. Those admin cookies are not used to track public website visitors.

Blocking Analytics

Because the public tracker does not use cookies or browser storage, this site does not show a cookie banner or store an analytics opt-out preference. You can block analytics by disabling JavaScript or blocking requests to analytics.bytesingularity.com in your browser or privacy tooling.
